God and Time

Bob - I am not sure I would agree fully with your statement "(God's) life does not consist of moment's following one another" - this may be true of the monotheist deity of the philosopher. Who is perfect in his isolation. But the Christian doctrine of the trinity proposes a God who is eternally perfect in the relation between his persons. Therefore his existence does have some kind of dynamic quality which marks out its own time. Perhaps we could call it God Time (GT). What makes GT different from Creation Time, is that CT moves ahead whether we act or not - the relentless succession of events proceed do or not. GT only marks one divine action from the next. When God moves, he creates time.
