In 17th century England many thinking people kept a record of the valuable information they found in the course of their reading. They collected quotes, stories, charts and other useful bits information in what was called a commonplace book. This information became a valuabe source of creativity and insight, as these meaningful bits information were re-read, catagorized, and reflected upon.

I do not expect that this information - as varied and scattered as it is - will be of any interest to anyone except my self. If however, you choose to have a look around and find that you share a common interest with me - feel free to comment.
