That's a good analogy. I see lots of strategies God uses to give people an indirect glimpse of his glory (telling Moses to look at his back Exod 33:18-34:9; manifesting through other people or things the burning bush or when Jacob wrestles with God in Genesis 32:22-32; and visions like Isaiah 6:1. But no one can look directly on him and live (Exodus 33:20; John 1:!8; 1 John 4:12). That is, until that time when we are perfected then we will look look at Jesus face to face and reflect his glory fully (1 Corinthains 13:12).
